BIG Signs :o)

One of my dear friends just asked in the back room of this blog how they could get one of those 4 by 8 foot "Reelect Pam Roach" signs that are popping up along the highways of the 31st district.

Let's just say..."I know a guy!" :o)

Give me a call and we will bring one over...I have been doing lots of doorbelling and haven't been as social as I like to be!

Normandy Beaches

I took this picture of Captain John at Pointe du Hoc, an outcropping overlooking two of the D-Day beaches. 225 American Army Rangers had to scale the sheer cliffs to gain control of the German guns. Only 90 of them made it.

As we get closer to Memorial Day I have looked at a few pictures from one of my trips. This is the cemetary at Normandy Beach. Sadie knows what happened here. We toured the museum, the cemetery and the beaches. Normandy is almost 3 hours west of Calais where the ferry is that took us to England.

I stood here with my sons, Representative Dan Roach and Captain John Roach. It had been a life's dream to actually be on this spot. And, there I was, sharing this experience with people that I knew felt the same way I did about what happened there.

"Pam, do you have a way to reach the family of that newborn baby that was stolen? We would like to get in touch with them. We will contact you by email."

I do not have that information. If you want to send your contact information I will post your query and maybe they will contact you if they see it.

Lots Is Happening....Letters, Decisions, And CPS Worker Stepping Forward

Several significant things are happening in the discussions we have been holding in this blog.

I am waiting for a letter that Sec. Susan Dreyfus said is on the way. I asked about what had happened to CPS workers who had lied in the in home studies (I had several examples).

The Sunshine Committee to action last week to give the legislature the recommendation to make CASA information public.

The Willard case is almost ready for my comments.

And, yesterday......a Children's Adm. worker called to ask me for my address. :o)

I have an appointment with 130 people and the voters within the homes...gotta go. I will write more. Please come to the July 24th event!

Honduras Just Another Goal For Chavez And ....(You Guessed It...)

I said goodbye over the weekend to a friend going back to Honduras for a few months. My mind is never free of what is happening in our own hemisphere. The full reporting of the article below is in a reader's comment link. (Thank you, Bill.)

Let's see...BP has caused the world's largest environmental disaster and in doing so has closed off an oil supply to the United States. Here is what is happening further south:

From the link: "Reuters news reported on April 17 that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez had announced that China was providing his nation with a long-term, $20 billion financing plan to fund major projects in his nation, which is a leading oil exporter.

'China is going to give financing to Venezuela, to the Venezuelan people, to the Bolivarian Revolution ... over the long-term and in large volume of some $20 billion,' Chavez said at a signing ceremony in Caracas.

Chavez said that the latest agreement was in addition to an existing $12 billion Chinese-Venezuelan investment fund into which Beijing deposits money in advance towards sales of oil. Venezuela currently sends China 460,000 barrels of crude oil a day, which is credited against the $8 billion China has loaned to Venezuela for infrastructure projects.

Bloomberg news quoted from a statement Chavez made on state television: 'We agreed on a huge, long-term financing plan. This is a larger scope, a super heavy fund. China needs energy security and we’re here to provide them with all the oil they need.'”

Susan Dreyfus To Fire Liars?

I believe that anyone lying in a court room to steal a child should be fired for lying to the court. No coddling. You lie then you should be fired. That, by the way, is exactly what DSHS Secretary Susan Dreyfus said she would do to liars in her system......................(seeing is believing).
With the Willard Case I personally sat down with both Sec. Dreyfus and Director Denise Revels-Robinson. In fact, with Denise, her own division director lied to me about the contents of an in home study for the Willards with Denise present. It was shown to be a lie in the meeting!!! Denise turned to the woman and was not too happy. But, what happened after the meeting? Anything?

The Willard Case is coming to an expensive and "fingers-crossed" happy ending. Much damage has been done to the family and little girl. But, things are looking very good.

The department never backed down. They wanted the girl for someone else. In this case as in the Stuth Case, it was a judge who made the difference.

Integrity is something that is quite elusive within the department. I am told there is a letter coming to me regarding the Willard Case and "Lilly." I want to see what has happened to Myron who lied by saying the Willard's stole a computer. I want to see what happened to the person who wrote in the second in home study that Mrs. Willard had breast cancer and that she was on dialysis.

What happens to liars in the system, Susan and Denise? Anything? Because if nothing happens the message clearly being sent is that it is OK to lie to the court and the people of the state. If nothing happens the stealing just continues. I am betting nothing happens. After all...only a few can afford lawyers. Right? The odds are in favor of the state.

Running, Running, Running

This came today on FB from a good Honduran friend of mine.

hola, be lucky , TENGA SUERTE EN LAS ELECCIONES PARA EL SENADO

ADIOS, LE ESCRIBO LUEGO

(Hi, be lucky. Good luck in the elections for Senator. I will write soon.)

This friend just won his election as mayor. He is such a good guy. I told him to go out to the people to ask them for their votes. He won.

Today, I spoke at an Autism Symposium at Auburn's Methodist Church. Even after my years of involvement in the issue I learned so much today.

After that it was out for more doorbelling.

Correcting The Seattle Times

Alas, it was Andrew Garber who yesterday wrote:

"Ten years ago, Republicans held 12 House and Senate seats in a swath of suburban districts that run from Mill Creek in Snohomish County, down the east side of Lake Washington and south to Auburn. They've lost all those seats except for one, held by Rep. Mike Hope, R-Lake Stevens, in Snohomish County."

Note: I am from King County...Auburn... and I won my race in 2006. It was a tough race. My female trial lawyer opponent had $500,000 in direct contributions and in independent expenditures spent on her behalf. She lied. And, she campaigned door-to-door like a banshee with her tail on fire. But, Andrew, she did not win.

(I called and left a friendly message for Andrew...and invited him to the picnic. ED)

Andrew has responded and said that he used a map that did not include the 31st so he didn't write about it.

America's Most Egregious Domestic Sin...And Reader Tim's Suggestion Of Criminal Court

Taking a child is, in some cases, necessary for the safety and life of the child. There is no disputing that. But, in WA State and other states, children in poor families are targeted for taking when there has been no accusal of abuse and when good relatives who want to raise the child are lied about in court to prevent relative placement.
This is the most egregious domestic sin of American government: lying to take a child from a good family and giving the child to another. This is the redistribution of America's children...it is the ultimate theft.

Deep pocketed government targets poor families because they have no resources for defense, have no political connections, and because there has been an order placed by a foster-adopt person. The state fills the orders and gets federal money and political rewards to do so. And, when there is a demand to fill orders there are jobs created by government.

Many DSHS children's employees should be taken from the task of harvesting children and placed on the other side of the spectrum. One child per day DIES under the auspices of CPS. Instead of stealing kids from the Stuths, the Willards, Councilmember Mowery and others...how about protecting children?

Tim says: "We pray incessantly that those, like you, who hold positions of power, would continue to seek and bestow wisdom. Like you, Pam, we follow the path of
righteousness, always striving to balance justice with mercy. Many CPS
unfounded accusations and reports have traumatized countless innocents. WE MUST
legislate these cases out of civil court and into criminal court where they
truly belong. Our constitutional 14th Amendment right to Due Process seems to
be tragically overlooked for a capitalist agenda. Thank-you for your steadfast
leadership." (Tim gave his first and last name...something that the defenders of the current system NEVER do to this blog.)

Important Info Generated By The Likes Of DP

Another anonymous comment from a reader:
"It should be noted that at the recent Braam panel hearing that Denise mentioned an upcoming federal inspection the week of Sept 13 and intended to increase judiciary involvement as was required by federal law.
Denise should also note that citizens will be involved in this as well because of the constant perjury with malice and forethought (with proof, DP)"

Editor's note: I am interested in the part about citizens being involved....will the writer of this memo either call or FB me with the details? I always like it when citizens can be involved....rare thing...I know.PR

Hey..great...our honest reader continues. You will have to cut and paste the info that is provided.

Reader says: "So, here is the information regarding the review process for people who want to provide information to the inspection committee:
I have some information regarding the review coming the week of September 13. It is the Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) and here is a link describing their purpose: http://www.acf. hhs.gov/programs /cb/cwmonitoring /recruit/ cfsrfactsheet. htm

We Hear From A Defender Of The System....

Referring to the previous post, I received a message 5-20-10 that rather than put in the comments I will post.

It said: "I assume you did some checking to verify all these allegations? DP"No DP...not on this one.

This is not my story, it is the testimony of someone else. But after researching many cases I thought I would post this as a reminder that the bad is still happening within CPS. Nothing has changed there.

I asked both Susan Dreyfus and Denise Revels Robinson just the other day if anyone had lost a job for lying to the court in the in-home studies with which I have carefully monitored.

There have been no firings, no disciplinary action has been taken. There simply is no action taken when falsified material is set on the judge's desk. And, you know, the judge can only deal with what has been submitted along with testimony of course.

There is absolutely no concern for the fact that relatives, who lack standing in court, are often lied about and can not defend themselves because they HAVE NO STANDING.

So...DP...(Or RJ or GE or FU or whoever you are) why don't you come out of hiding behind the anonymity of a blog comment and show your face? Hmmmm? Why so sarcastic? DP? Are you there? Call my district office 253-333-4918 and arrange to meet with me.

So, DP, the grandmother making the statement in the previous blog has given me her name and contact information. Her story is very consistent with all the other accounts that I personally researched. This one is written by "Concerned Grandma," not me. Shame on you "DP" for knowing what you do and not standing up for the truth. How pathetic is that?

Things Are Not Over In Honduras

I still worry about Honduras. The U.S. supported attempt for the Chevez influenced government to take over Honduras failed against all odds. But, the ship is listing with great debt and the destabilizing events of the attempt. One of my contacts writes:

Writing about the political situation in Honduras is becoming dangerous,
as much as doing news about the narcos, because either side can get you as
a target. But there also seems to be a lack of determination, at this
current time of the year, most of us involved in fighting from the digital
trenches have done *nothing*, while the dictatorship from the south is
regrouping, has a foreign policy in place against Honduras and won a great
victory over those lands in the Bajo Aguan.

Instead what once was the WHITE SHIRT MOVEMENT is in disarray, leaderless
and under siege by the very government we supported and voted for.

In the end...Obama may get what he wanted.

Campaign Mode

Dear Friends,

This is a campaign year for me and so I will not be so regular in postings. Life goes on fast-forward and about the only thing you can squeeze in is a little more family time than you had the last time you ran! :o)....three new grand kids since then!

Mother's Day was gorgeous. I heard from or was able to see everyone...all five kids and families. There are a couple of new azaleas in the yard now! Pink. Very pretty and I love live plants as a gift.

I will post a couple of times a week.

Beware Of Bad Teeth...It Could Cost You Your Kids

Dear Senator Pam Roach,

I am sending this email to say thank you for the help you and your staff gave to my family. My sister lost her kids to the system in Oct 2007. Family wanted to adopt the kids but the foster mom was approved to adopt but I want to let you know that I hope someone will listen and learn from what my family has been though. The caseworker accused my sister of drug use only to find out it was because of her teeth he believed she use drugs and that was a complete lie. Did you know that the state pays these adoptive parents money to adopt the kids? My nephew who is being adopted is because they will get paid monthly by the statae. If the state does not pay they will not adopt or so the caseworker is saying. I never knew how a system could be so out of control and no ones does anything and the caseworkers can lie and the judges never ask for proof. Out of my sisters 6 kids I have two. The one that spent 2 years in foster care has told me alot of things she has went though. At her last foster home the foster mom sold her stuff even when she did not want it sold. The foster mom hit her and nothing happened. Please keep fighting for the families that have been destroyed. If my sister had another child the system would take it even though there is not a reason for it. Thanks to you and your staff for your help

Senator Rosa Franklin To Retire

There will be no difference in the makeup of the Senate when Sen. Franklin's seat is filled. Hers is a hard D district. But there certainly is a big difference in the letter she has sent her colleagues compared to Sen. Fairley's as documented here. Thank you Rosa for your service.

Hello Colleagues and Staff,

A recent family meeting the decision has been made that it’s time for me to move on. Twenty years has been a roller coaster ride, had its high points and low points, beautiful scenery and mud puddles. All said and done it was worth it all. Now I am saying “operator let me off this ride – it is someone else’s turn”. Everyone should try it once!

It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve the people of the 29th District and the State of Washington. I do believe that my time was well spent and my being in the legislature made a difference. In fact, that is what supporters, constituents, family and friends tell me. Thanks to each one of you for contributing to a productive and exhilarating ride.

It is difficult to say that I am retiring from the Senate; therefore I’ll just say that I am not seeking re-election. I will miss the fast pace of legislative sessions and the debate on public policy. I plan to continue working to make our communities, state and nation live up to the principles on which they were founded and that the constitution represents all of us and not a select few. Remember always to be brave and take risks. That is the only way change is made.

Again, thanks, it has been a pleasure to serve.

Senator Rosa Franklin
