Answer: Nothing. In Washington State there are interview standards. But, since the records are closed...no one knows when the interviews are manipulated. And, those that do know are not talking.

Is it unethical not to show it?
Is it unethical to manipulate a six-year-old's testimony?
Is it unethical to take a child from a family based on mind changing questioning?
By the way, the child in this video stuck to her story. She even comes back at the interviewer and says, "Who told you that?" And, "Who is that?" Someone she clearly does not even know! Playing with a child to confuse and get what you want is not ethical and it is why all interviews should be taped.

I'm sorry to be so disrespectful Pam and I will understand if you don't show this but what a bunch of Bastards. They are ABUSING this child and beacuse of their title they get away with it and then turn around and blame it on the parents. I hope soon, someone is able to dismantle this system and procecute these sick twisted robots we call CPS.
Don’t they always manipulate the child? I thought that was status quo. When I went through my troubles they kept the child in a room for over an hour until they got what they wanted (mind you this was an 11 year old with the mentality of about 6) then if your read it they really didn’t get what they wanted they just worded it like they did. When I finally got her back home she told me she thought she was in trouble. She’s in her 20’s now and still feels terrorized by the chain of events that started that day.
Video-taping should be mandatory. It’s so easy for an adult to put words in a child’s mouth.

Uou are a brave and courageous women for exposing and advocating for this important issue. All meetings between child protection workers, and children appointed lawyers must be recorded. These people are destroying children and the amount of evidence is overwhelming and distrubing. If these people are claiming these disclosures are being made freely by children and are using them to remove children from parents. Why would they not want to record and present this evidence to the courts? What are they afraid of? What are they hiding?
Please continue to advocate for this important issue of corrupt and damaging tactics that is occuring in the name of "protecting" children. The exploitation of children for government funding must be STOPPED.

Yes - they DO manipulate the child. I used to get weekend visits with my grandsons. (Now I am completely banned by court order)...
In November 07 - Clackamas County OR DHS cancelled my Christmas visit because they claimed that we "hid from park rangers" at Ona Beach park (near my home on the coast).
I have no idea WHERE the Agency came up with that information - but it was relatively easy to disprove - as Ona Beach Park HAS NO PARK RANGERS. Where did that "information" come from?
I can only guess at the interrogation measures these chidlren are put through after a visit with familiy... If we had visited a park who HAD rangers, I wouldn't have been able to so easily disprove this fiction. But since there are NO rangers at the park we visited .. it was pretty obvious that The Agency had made that up. Other accusations by them are not so easy (actually-impossible) to disprove.
They now tell me that my grandsons are happy in foster care and willing to be adopted. Since the boys used to BEG me not to take them back, I find this hard to believe - but I haven't had any contact with them for months, so I shudder to think what "brainwashing" techniques have been used on them.
America... I can't believe this happens here - that strangers can take your family members and there is nothing that you can do to rescue them...
