Hearing On "Alexis Stuth Bill," January 21st, 3:30

During session my blog time will be short. I will have bill numbers by Thursday morning and can post in the evening when I get home.

Thanks goes to Senator Jim Hargrove, Chair of the Human Services and Corrections Committee. He has signed on as the second signature to both bills I have introduced to help families. And, he has scheduled both bills for a hearing. This is great news!

The first bill will give relatives standing in dependency cases and the other will create a presumption that family should have the child if there has been an emergency taking by the department.

A very special note of appreciation goes to my legislative aide, Brian Lohr. Without his very special expertise on the subject matter we would not be this far. Great work, Brian!

Readers...now it is your turn. We need you at the hearing. If you can not make it then please hotline or email your own legislators to ask for their support. No long stories...time is short for them. Ask for fairness and for the sake of families...etc. Check this blog for the bill numbers and titles. Set the date aside. More information will follow.

I will try to be there and contact all the legislators in my district. Again, thank you for fighting for "We The People". Those 3 words I hold ever so dear in my heart.

Went to the Judiciary public hearing on grandparent rights. I testified and probably made the chair mad but I stayed out of jail which is a good thing. :)I was a good day lol

I will try to be there if I cannot I will contact all my legislators. Thank God this is finally happening.

My own family will never be whole again thanks to CPS and their lying ways.

My husband and I will try to be there also. We need a "Madison Bill" that would prevent social workers, CASA's and AG's to lie in court, on any and all correspondence and to anyone they come in conatct with during the course of business. Most of all though, it would prevent them from lying to the CHILDREN. That is morally corrupt and disgusting.
However, since they already are breaking laws and feel they are above the law, maybe another law is not what we need. Maybe Madison's bill should be Madison's Code of Ethics that every DSHS worker should be required to read and agree to before they are employeed.

I will be more than happy to get on the phone and call everyone that I know and have them call everyone that they know in our state and ask all of them to call their legilatures and ask them to vote for these bills.

Dear Senator Roach,

I believe that Social Workers should be licensed.

Can we do anything about that?

Also, I do know that some of them carry insurance just like attorneys and doctors do.
